Challenge
IPR's existing Wi-Fi network infrastructure was outdated and unable to meet the growing campus connectivity demands. The institute required an upgrade to ensure better coverage, enhanced security, and seamless access for authorized users. Additionally, the new Wi-Fi network setup had to align with the Government of India’s "Make in India" directives, promoting the use of indigenous technology.
Results
The implementation of advanced Wi-Fi solutions at IPR yielded remarkable results. Achieving seamless coverage across the campus, including areas with signal penetration challenges, was a significant accomplishment. Moreover, the solution substantially decreased network downtime, leading to a threefold reduction in disruptions. By upgrading the outdated Wi-Fi infrastructure, uninterrupted network operations and research activities were ensured, contributing to enhanced productivity and efficiency. Additionally, the deployment of a secure AAA+ Captive portal bolstered network security, while the on-premises controller facilitated improved management and optimization capabilities.
